A plan built around your skin, not a shelf
Your clinician designs a personalised plan based on your individual needs. Hormonal breakouts along the jaw need something different from blackheads across the nose, and skin that peels easily needs a slower start. Your plan is tailored to you and adjusted as your goals evolve.
- Personalised plan for your skin type and goals
- Pregnancy-appropriate options when needed
- When your plan includes products, they're prepared for you and delivered to your door

Online acne consults: common questions
- How does an online acne consult work?
- You complete a short online skin assessment (about 5 minutes), book a time, then meet a registered doctor by video for about 20 minutes. She reviews your answers and photos with you and discusses a skin-care plan suited to your skin.
- How much does the consultation cost?
- The initial consultation is R250, once-off and non-refundable. It covers the consultation only, and there is no obligation to sign up for anything afterwards.
- Who is the doctor?
- Dr Christine van Looy, a registered medical practitioner (HPCSA MP0879240). She is a GP, not a dermatologist, and refers you when your skin needs a specialist or an in-person examination.
- Who can book?
- Anyone of any age living in South Africa. Under-18s need a parent or guardian to consent and to join the video consultation.
- Do I need to visit a clinic?
- No. The Skin Crowd is entirely online. There are no clinic visits, walk-ins or waiting rooms.
